It’s a C&R Dance Party!

Forget the CD Exchange (if I don’t participate, it doesn’t exist) let’s have a music exchange right here at Cocky & Rude!  Each time we have a C&R Dance Party, I’ll name a theme for the day and you’ll post your responses in the form of a YouTube video in the comments.  And don’t forget to dance!

Today’s Theme Is: CHRISTMAS MUSIC!!!!
Link us to a YouTube video in the comments and tell us why you picked it.
Feel free to answer more than once!

I LOVE CHRISTMAS MUSIC!  Here are some of my favorites:

The Ultimate Rapist Christmas song: Dean Martin’s Baby It’s Cold Outside:

My favorite Christmas Song: Nat King Cole’s The Christmas Song:

My favorite to sing along with: Lou Monte’s Dominick The Italian Christmas Donkey:

And finally, I just think this is really pretty. It’s from the short-lived series, Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip:

Now share some Christmas favorites with me!

(And by the way, if your video doesn’t post in the comments correctly, FEAR NOT!
I’ll fix it as soon as I get a chance)

  1. Too bad you dropped out of the exchange – Christmas/Holiday music was the theme.
One of my very favorite is “The Carols of Christmas” but it’s not on YouTube.

I love all the classices. “Feliz Navidad” is fun. I especially love to sing the “a-ha” part at 1:20.

  2. Shoot. I was going to post Nat King Cole. I like the REALLY old classics. I’ll go with Perry Como, we had this album when I was a kid so it brings back memories.

I’m not the least bit Irish, but something about this perky song always seems very Christmasy.

  3. I love … unusual … covers of Christmas music. A sampler:

I grew up with this album in our household. Mae was one of my Mom’s heroines, and listening to this reminds me of her.

Who doesn’t like “Santa Claus Wants Some Loving”?

Finally, I adore the irony of this last one. “Tidings of comfort and joy” sung as a dirge, by one of the great rock vocalists Ronnie James Dio.

  4. My favorite Christmas song:

As for my favorite sing along Christmas song:

As usual, I’m sure I fucked up the embedding, so Adam do your magic.
